Aya Minami and Eri Minami Two-person Exhibition

Aya Minami and Eri Minami are sisters from Tokushima.
They have built the worlds which quietly resonate with each other by using different techniques with delicate expressions to catch the sign of time and breath of lives.
Aya Minami has continued production by her unique techniques using wax, threads and dyes based on stiches and batik and won Kenzo Matsumura Special Award at the 49th Showakai Exhibition in 2014. Soft light that stays in the scenery of a moment and hope that expands to daily life overlap.
On the other hand, Eri Minami develops acryl paintings that restructure flowers and landscapes in multiple viewpoints and won the Showakai Award at the 44th Showakai and the 63rd Niki Award at Niki Exhibition in 2009. She takes each brush very delicately as though she scoops up the flowing time to keep the moment of flash of lives in the frames.
We will introduce the new works of each of them which start from "light" and "water." We will appreciate your visit.
