Akiko Endo Exhibition -a murmur of time-

Ms. Akiko Endo will hold a solo show of her new pieces after a long time. It was 1978 when she won the Takeshi Hayashi Award at the open call for exhibitions, Showakai, and she has been working mainly on the exhibitions at Nikikai. She has released enormous pieces of the size exceeding No.1000 one after another at museums in recent years. Her magnificent view of the world and energy always give us a surprise.

On the other hand, she will exhibit the pieces of the size of No. 100 to small pieces at this exhibition, which are full of charm of Ms. Endo not seen in the large pieces. Her gentle eyes focus on the mild sceneries of people's living including a bicycle, animals, children and families that also appear in the pieces which won the Showakai Award and they lead us to such a peaceful utopia to warm our heart. We hope you enjoy the gentle world spreading in the small pieces, which could be considered as the root of production power of the artist who keeps working on the great pieces that are dynamic and fantastic in the theme of "life and death" and "light and darkness" and size.
