Yoshitake Ukai Exhibition

May 24, 2025 (Sat) - June 1, 2025 (Sun) Open every day during the exhibition
Mr. Ukai won the Kenzo Matsumura Award at the Showakai Exhibition in 2015. He is a Japanese painting artist who paints animals with mineral pigments in lively and colorful expressions. This is his second great exhibition after four years at Galerie Nichido Fukuoka Gallery.
This exhibition's theme is "points, lines and circles." Points are particles of the mineral pigments, lines are expressions of the ink and brush and circles mean the group of works where animals painted with high contrast are coming towards us with the background of the circle which is the center of this exhibition, and it also means "connection" at the same time. Lives that contain human beings themselves do not exist individually, but are connected with all lives and interactively give influences. Such theme is expressed in approximately 30 pieces of large pieces to small ones made out of his enthusiasm with the motifs of various animals which are the artist's specialty. Please enjoy the exhibition.
