Memories of Sunshine, Time of Tenderness

We are pleased to introduce Mr. Masahide Kobayashi's solo show of new pieces for the first time in five years. The former show was held in 2020, known as the year of epidemic of Covid-19, where the gallery was regretfully not allowed to be opened in the middle of Mr. Kobayashi's show since the declaration of emergency was enforced while the show was held. Although there was no choice, we would like again to apologize to Mr. Kobayashi and his fans.
Mr. Kobayashi won the award of excellence at Showakai Exhibition in 1992. Although his excellent ability of description and free and easy brushworks were already outstanding at the time of his award winning, with his continuous challenge and effort towards greatly diverse motifs including landscapes, people and still objects, he has established the incredibly sophisticated painting style. In this show, he will exhibit the landscapes of rice fields in Japan which he started to work on due to Covid-19. The easy-going landscapes specific to Mr. Kobayashi spread out and the fresh breeze crossing the screen is as if it gently embraced us. Please enjoy approximately 40 pieces from large ones to small pieces.
