To commemorate the 160th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between France and Japan, along with the 50th anniversary of the death of artist Foujita, Kasama Nichido Museum of Art opened a special exhibition entitled “Foujita and His Companions”. The exhibition centers on the works of Foujita, and further extends to exhibit works created by his teachers and classmates during his studies at the Tokyo Art University, paintings made by artists from the School of Paris that influenced the artist’s greatly, and the many artworks painted by Japanese artists with whom he shared intimate relationships with.

We sincerely invite friends to visit the show together with the major retrospective of Foujita which is now running in Kyoto. Delighted to be a part of the next edition once again, galerie nichido plans to exhibit works by this eternal artist next year at Art Basel Hong Kong.
